Good thing I'm an amateur!

Redneck Mother says she read somewhere that "posting pet photos on your blog is 'unprofessional'."
Just as she did, allow me to thumb my nose at convention and professionalism.

Ladies and gentleman (or -men? Maybe?), I present to you Malcolm and Briscoe. Also known as "dopey attention whore" and "sullen, moody teenager."

And so it begins...

Spring, that is. Here's a sampler of what's happening in my yard right now.

The winter Viburnum that smells heavenly and flowers before it gets leaves...

The little violet plants that thrive in bark chips on top of veggie barrier...(that's Briscoe
in the background)

The Pieris japonica looking pretty...

The mess of spirea branches filling out with leaves...

Grape hyacinths, which we have everywhere in our yard. They've naturalized into parts of the lawn, too!
